In this section I will post other tidbits of writings and information relating to Hotaru no Hikari (Firefly). Some may be works of others, that have inspired HnH, others may be works of mine, inspired by HnH, that don't fit in any other section. Enjoy!Faith (poem)
The Un-Official Hotaru no Hikari Theme Song
I can't really give much of a background on the poem without giving away the story. However, I think the poem stands alone quite nicely, and is even better when you know the story behind it. It was written back when I was starting the Firefly project. My writing skills have gotten much better since then, but I'm quite pround of this poem (even if it is a bit cheesy).
It was Faith that took me to my destiny,
even though to darkness it led.
It was Faith that stood beside me,
as my spirit wandered and my body bled.
It was Faith that kept others by me,
though hope seemed far away.
It was Faith that understood me,
and gave them the understanding to stay.
It was Faith that was there to greet me,
when the way to me was shown.
And it will be Faith there to guide me,
when the way becomes again unknown.
The Un-Official Hotaru no Hikari (Firefly) Theme Song
One other inspiration that had a dramatic effect on the story was the Delerium song: Euphoria (Firefly). I listened to it and it struck me as the perfect theme for Miriam. It not only supplied a nickname for her, but also inspiration for the unique style of her Ki abilities, and insights for me into the way Miriam sees life.
